Welcome to the

Montessori OT Hub

(A Work in progress)

Preparing Environments for Unique Nervous Systems

Where Sensory Integration Science Meets Montessori Practice

We are building a professional learning hub designed for Montessori educators committed to supporting diverse nervous systems. This space will integrate occupational therapy and Montessori philosophy to provide practical tools, research-informed guidance, and consultative support for preparing environments that foster regulation, independence, and meaningful participation.

"Successful development of sensory integration underpins emotional stability, attention span and activity levels. Therefore, we must understand that regulation is a neurobiological process that must be addressed from the bottom up and the inside out"

Tia Gamelin,

Occupational Therapist

What is the Montessori OT Hub?

Montessori OT integrates occupational therapy and Montessori philosophy to help educators prepare environments that support regulation, independence, and meaningful participation for neurodivergent and twice-exceptional learners.

Rooted in Montessori. Grounded in OT

At the Montessori OT Hub, we honor children as capable, curious learners.

Our work is guided by Montessori principles, freedom within limits, respect for the child, and a carefully prepared environment-alongside evidence-based pediatric occupational therapy.

We look at the whole child within their daily environments: home, school, and community. Our goal is not to "fix" children, but to create spaces and supports that help them feel safe, regulated, and ready to participate in the things that matter most to them and their families.
